There was no published magazine for Volume 120 of The Shield. A delay in the latter issues of Volume 119, coupled with a changing of Executive Directors at the National Headquarters created a sizable gap in the publication of the magazine. Once there was enough dedicated staff to create the magazine, publishing would not occur until the 2000-2001 academic year. The leadership of the Fraternity elected to simply label that issue as the beginning of Volume 121, leaving a period of time (and volume) without a published work of The Shield.
